The house is situated in the village of Caunas near Bedarieux which is situated in the Haut Languedoc in the Languedoc national park.

Caunas is a small village located among the vineyards which cover the rolling hills around the Pyrennees. There are no shops in Caunas but there is a mobile shop! A car is required to drive to Bedarieux which is just 10 minutes away for shops and restaurants.

In the heart of the Languedoc region, it is an excellent spot for exploring the many wonderful towns and cities in this part of France. With the Languedoc Regional Park on your doorstep you will not have to go far to find a good selection of walks and plenty of outdoor pursuits to keep you entertained.

There are many golf courses nearby and the beaches of the Mediterrennean can be reached in half an hour.

Major cities such as Montpellier, Carcassonne, Perpignan and Toulouse are easily accessible by car, and closer to hand you will find beautiful towns such as Narbonne, Sete and Millau - home to the famous viaduct. For cheese lovers, Roquefort is also close by.
