About the owners:
Since we first knew each other, we have been travelling to Provence and 25 years on, we still love the area. I have also travelled the length and breadth of France on historic car rallies for many years and although there are many beautiful areas, Provence is a region I wanted to keep coming back to. We live and work in UK but like many, hope to spend more time in France later in life because we enjoy the climate, the wine and food as well as the culture and the many new places to explore. Our children are at or nearing University stage, so we expect to be on the hamster wheel for some time to come! |

GUEST COMMENTS
"The photos were accurate but they didn't really do justice as it looked smaller on the pictures than it was. There are lots of useful things in the property and it is well stocked.
The booking procedure and service was excellent - swift and helpful responses made us feel confident about the booking. It was an added touch to have the visit from somebody local to the property to check all was OK.
The pool was fantastic - well cared for and clean. It was hard to encourage the children to go out as they would have been happy to stay there all day! We found it really easy to drive around the area and there is lots to do and see. People in Graveson were very friendly and it was great to be able to walk to the bakery, post office, supermarket etc."
Corinne, July 2012
"We had a great week in Provence, exploring the area. The apartment was really comfortable, one of the nicest places we have stayed in."
Judy Seimers - October 2011
"We thought the apartment was delightful. Very spacious, beautifully decorated and clean. The kitchen had ample equipment, plates, glasses, bowls etc which apartments in France often do not have! The swimming pool was fantastic and we were in it most days from 4pm. Clean and quiet.
We did trips every morning and saw an awful lot. Graveson is extremely well placed to visit a great many interesting and beautiful places." Laura Simmons - Aug 09.
"The apartment was spacious, clean and attractive. The fact the residence included secure parking and an enclosed area was also an advantage. The garden and pool areas were well maintained and pleasant." Paul Browes - Sept 09.

LOCAL AMENITIES
A 5 minute walk to the well stocked supermarket, shops and restaurants in Graveson.
Graveson has a bank, Boulangeries, several restaurants, a cafe, newsagent and a market. It also has a nearby tennis club and wine caves. Tennis, horseriding, gliding and small plane trips are available over the Alpilles, near St Remy as well as wonderful walks and cycling. It is not far from Chateauneuf du Pape so wine tasting and gourmet eating are essential! There is a Tourist Office in the village to help you. We can arrange for a chef to cook a meal for you, or alternatively, you could go to his cookery school in the village about 300 metres away.
Special interest holidays:
This is an area of great interest to artists because of the natural light and surroundings, hence the art schools of Avignon. The apartment is named after local artist Auguste Chabaud, a contemporary of Matisse and Derain and whose work can be seen in the village museum. It is also about 30 minutes from the Southern Rhone Vineyards including Chateauneuf du Pape.
