Location Information: Pont Royal is in the heart of Provençe, close to Aix en Provençe, Avignon, the Luberon, Arles, St Rémy and the Camargue. Mallemort, at 4km, is the closest town. Pont Royal is 40 minutes from Marseille Airport and the TGV stations of Avignon and Aix en Provence, 3 hours from Paris by train.

2 hours by car from the nearest ski resorts. The Mediterranean beaches are within one hour.

Isle sur la Sorgue is known worldwide for its famous antiques market. The Gorges du Verdon are also with easy driving distance. During the summer, music and arts festivals take place in Avignon and Aix en Provence and there is a music festival in July at La Roque d'Antheron.

In the main house there are 3 bedrooms (2 king and 1 twin), l ensuite bathroom and l shower room, large lounge/dining area with fireplace, fully equipped kitchen and bar area, cloakroom, mezzanine with small double sofa bed, TV/DVD and study area with telephone and broadband access; further cloakroom. The internal size of the property is 200 sq metres.

Facing the pool and opposite the main house, there is a separate guest annexe which can (only) be rented with the main house. This comprises a large bedroom with king size bed and space for cot and/or folding bed, shower room, kitchen annexe and cupboard with shelves and hanging space.

A welcome pack will be at the property for your arrival, generally comprising of: milk, water and a bottle of orange juice, bread, butter and a packet of biscuits, fresh fruit, 4 bottles of lager and a bottle of Provençal rosé together with a large citronella candle to help ward off mosquitoes.

Soap, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid and washing powder are generally supplied.

There is a large swimming pool (approx 9m x 5m) and a very popular spacious jacuzzi (2m x 5m), lawn with shaded area, sun terrace and covered terrace with table and chairs, BBQ, table tennis table and boules pitch.

Outside there is a covered terrace with table and chairs for 10, built-in barbecue, boules pitch and table tennis table. A second terrace with table and chairs, adjoins the master bedroom and leads to the pool and jacuzzi which have an electrically operated cover. The pool is approx. 1 m deep in the shallow end and 2m in the deep end. There is a wave pool, large swimming pool, tennis courts, pedalloes, rowing boats, riding and children's clubs (vaccination certificates may be required) which are totally separate from the villa but can be booked through Pierre et Vacances, availability permitting. There will be a charge for using these facilities. Golf can be booked through the Golf Club. 2nd golf course opened summer 2010.
