Air France flies from Paris to Perpignan.

Villa Raquel is located in Nissan-Lez-Ensérune, situated between Béziers and Narbonne. Nearby is the town of Beziers (10 minutes), with the picture-postcard cathedral rising above the river and the old town full of shops, boutiques and restaurants. Vineyards dominate the landscape in the hills around Beziers. Choose between the lively beach resorts of Valras Plage (15 minutes) and Cap D'Agde (30 minutes) or the sedate beaches of Vendres and Fluery (both 15 minutes).

We chose this villa in the village of Nissan because the village is authentically French and has all the amenities you could want. It's also easy and cheap to get to from the UK thanks to Ryanair. And this part of France is amazing. It has the full Mediterranean climate and beaches but without the costs and crowds associated with the Cote d'Azur. It's also in the middle of one of the best wine regions in France!

Unique benefits of the property:
The villa is very private, so just spending time at the villa enjoying the sunshine and the pool is simply perfect. But then, when you want to head out, there are so many nice things to do. We love making a day of travelling to places like Beziers, Sete or Cap d'Agde - great visits and all with amazing restaurants. But nearby, we have fantastic restaurants as well. The Hotel Residence, a two minute walk from the villa, is one of our favourites. And most of the neighbouring villages also have great places to eat.

The secluded garden is 1200m² and surrounded by an 8ft wall with lockable gates. Within is a private 8m x 4m swimming pool with a retractable cover. The pool utilises an automated salt chlorination system which is better for your skin and hair and prevents red eyes.

Part of the garden is decked with an outdoor dining table suitable for al fresco dining for 10.

There is an outdoor chimney style barbecue.
