Villa Grande Ciara - 8 bedrooms, pool and garden

The villa is in the village of Margon, a pretty, historic French village near the lively villages of Pezenas and Roujan. It is a 3 minute walk to shops, a bar and a restaurant.

Margon is an historic Circulade village, nestled amongst the vineyards and domains where wine tasting and tours are available. There are beautiful walks and views through vineyards in the largest wine producing region in France, right on the villa's doorstep.

Pezenas is a famous historical town with winding streets, artisans shops and a good selection of restaurants and cafe bars.

The Saturday street market is a popular way of spending a morning browsing and buying up the local wines and cheeses. Two nights a week you can stroll along the ancient cobbled streets where artisan shops and restaurants open late.

There are some really good restaurants in Pezenas and two Michelin star restaurants in Beziers within a 20 minute drive.

Sandy coastal beaches are a 30 minute drive away - Vias or Marseillan Plage and Agde has a great waterpark to entertain the kids.

Bouzigue is world famous for oysters.

Beziers airport is 20 mins drive, Montpellier is 50, Perpignan and Carcassonne are aprox 1h 20m. Girona in Spain (Ryanair hub) is aprox 2h drive.

There are 2 golf courses close by and many rivers to discover.

The walled city of Carcassonnne is well worth a visit especially to see the night time fireworks.

Enter the property through gates into the enclosed garden.

The villa has a very pretty front terrace with well-tended flower beds and displays.

VILLA ACCOMMODATION

You enter into the main living and dining area which is very spacious and has well defined areas for lounging and dining.

There is a comfortable angle sofa to seat 6 plus 2 easy chairs, TV with UK SKY satellite channels, a DVD and video player as well as an internet connection.

Dining area with wood table to seat 6. There are 2 sets of triple patio doors which lead onto the rear terrace overlooking the garden.

The rear terrace runs the length of the villa and has several tables and chairs for dining or just relaxing. It gets un all day and the view of the chateau of Margon is just stunning!

The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you could need for your holiday including fridge, freezer, microwave, oven, hob, dishwasher, grill, toaster, blender, ice maker, coffee maker and plenty of cooking utensils.

A door leads to a hall, off which are the bedrooms and bathrooms.

Bedroom One has a double bed, wardrobe space, ceiling fan and doors onto the terrace.

Bedroom Two has double bed, built in wardrobes, a set of drawers and doors leading onto the terrace.

Bedroom Three has double bed, built in wardrobes, air-conditioning and doors onto the terrace.

Bedroom Four has a double bed, wardrobe and 3 doors onto the garden.

Bedroom Five has a double bed, fitted wardrobes and windows.

There are 2 bathrooms, one with bath with a shower attachment and double basins and the other with a shower enclosure, basin and WC. Plus a separate WC with basin.

An internal door leads down to a utility room with washing machine, clothes drier, laundry equipment etc. This then connects with the downstairs apartment.

APARTMENT ACCOMMODATION

The apartment is on the ground floor and is newly refurbished to a high standard.

Very large lounge area, ultra modern style and very light and airy. There are 4 comfy sofas and a large flat screen TV with UK satellite channels.

Doors lead out to the garden, making this apartment suitable for the elderly or disabled.

Very smart attactive kitchen with large breakfast bar, oven, hobs, microwave, dishwasher and a good selection of cooking utensils.

Beautiful shower room with rolltop bath, large walk in shower, twin basins and WC.

There are 3 bedrooms, two of them with double beds, one of them with no windows and the other with a small window. Both double rooms have wardrobes.

The bunk bed room is very small and suitable for children only.

There is also a selection of childrens games, videos and books (in English).

In June 2010 I stayed in Margon which was a charming village in Languedoc. The villa was perfectly located for exploring Bezier and the surrounding areas. The villa was very spacious, comfortable, clean and was everything as was described to us. I found Kevin very helpful and most welcoming. He was quite happy to answer all our questions and was able to recommend several attractions and restants. The villa is perfect for kids as the garden is huge and there is a swimming pool to tire them out.
I have recommended this villa to several of my friends, who were most impressed with the views of the Chateau & vine in the fields, and I would have no hesitation in recommending this villa and I look forward to returning next year.
