This is a delightful property located in a peaceful village not far from Limoux. The area is particularly popular with cyclists with miles and miles of quiet, rolling country roads to enjoy. The outside area of the villa offers a summer kitchen right outside and an unoverlooked pool area at a lower level. There is a private entrance with parking and a separate side entrance ideal for offloading luggage, groceries etc. Don't let the fact that this property is not detached put you off; it is quiet and private and the next door neighbours are almost entirely absent. The owners are very discreet and are pleased to help and advise, but only when required. Just check out the reviews to see what other guests have to say! The Old Forge is a delightful home with private pool set in beautiful countryside just 25 minutes from the historic Cité of Carcassonne, a UNESCO World heritage site, and 15 minutes from lovely Limoux, famous for its sparkling wine.
Situated within a friendly French village so not isolated or too rural. Perfect for artists, walkers, bird watchers, cyclists, historians.
This venue is ideal for those seeking peace and tranquility and/or as a base for exploring the natural environment, famous nearby historic and cultural attractions. Perfect for walking or cycling with magnificent views between the Malepère massif and the Pyrenees mountain range. The natural setting will recharge your batteries throughout your stay. Cycling in this area is particularly recommended.

Villarzel-du-Razès is 15 minutes from Limoux - known for its blanquette de veau (a delicious meat dish), its sparkling wines that are more than a match for traditional champagne, and its festivals. You can also visit numerous Cathar castles and abbeys.
The lovely swimming pool (10m x 5 m) with loungers and easy chairs is completely unoverlooked. There is also a spacious terrace with a summer kitchen and barbecue to enhance your beautiful summer evenings. Enjoy the gentle splashing of the calming Buddha waterfall.

The house comprises, on the ground floor, a living room with a large lounge (sofa and TV) and a dining area, and a fully equipped separate kitchen. Brand new shower room.
Three bedrooms on first floor.
Two bedrooms on top floor.

Please note that this property is not detached. On one side the owners occasionally live. Next door is rarely lived in. Pool area and summer kitchen are for guests' use only. Private driveway, carport and independent entrance.
