This lovely estate is situated in the heart of the Madiran wine-growing region of Hautes-Pyrenees in South West France. With lots of space and tranquillity, this is the ideal place to recharge your batteries whilst surrounded by beautiful views of the Pyrenees mountains and the Gascon countryside. Situated in the heart of Gascony, nestled amongst the vines, Les Six Gites de Madiran offer a wide variety of opportunities for those wishing to relax and unwind whilst holidaying in the area.

The 6 apartments are purpose-built and restored from a barn dating from 1742. The accommodation is situated within a private courtyard with a separate parking area outside. Each Gite has its own garden, with a BBQ, dining area, and garden furniture.

The large solar-heatable saltwater swimming pool comprises a paddling pool (25m²) with a depth of 40cm water falling into a large pool (75m²) which has a shallow end of 1m and a deep end of 2m. The pool is situated away from the courtyard, on the edge of the Adour valley.

The grounds of the property include parking outside of the courtyard, an ancient chapel, a moat, vegetable patch, play area and 5 hectares of grounds and woodlands to explore.

La Grange de Madiran offers 2 bedrooms to sleep 5 guests – a double, and a bedroom with single beds. Downstairs is a lounge, with a log burning stove, a dining area and fully equipped kitchen. The private terrace overlooks the courtyard.

An adjoining door leading to Le Chai de Madiran enables the gite to be let either individually, as 2 separate units, or 1 large unit sleeping 10+ people. Ideal for 2 families, large groups or grandparents and those wishing to holiday together but have their own space at the same time.

The grounds are extensive and you are free to explore them. Collect fresh eggs, pick fresh fruit and vegetables from the large vegetable patch, feed the pigs and hens. Listen to nature, during your stay you may see deer, wild boar, owls, hawks, bats, and snakes. You may also hear crickets, frogs, foxes, deer, owls, and other wildlife at night. We try not to illuminate the grounds too much, to avoid light pollution, so you can see a wonderful array of stars, the Milky Way and satellites passing overhead.
