La Maison de Cambieure is a modern and beautifully decorated 3 bedroom property, located in the Aude region of the Languedoc. The villa is built to a high standard and offers great facilities, such as a large heated private swimming pool (8x4m) and a good-sized gated lawned garden. The villa offers free internet access, UK sky TV and an Xbox for the kids. Surrounded by vineyards and sunflower fields, La Maison de Cambieure offers an ideal combination of a relaxed and active holiday. Whether you like all day sun by the pool or a shaded area to relax and read a book, this villa has it all.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas hob, a double electric oven, a microwave, all utilities including a kettle, coffee machine and a fridge/freezer. There is also a summer kitchen equipped with a large fridge/freezer and an ice-making machine.
The living room is a very comfortable space, with a six-seater settee (plus chairs), UK Sky Sports and movie channels, an Xbox and a DVD player. There is also a conservatory area with a six-seater dining table and chairs, as well as a further settee and chair.
All rooms in this house are air-conditioned, including the 3 bedrooms (King, Queen and a twin). There are 2 bathrooms (one with a bath, WC, sink and shower, the one with a shower and WC).
The outside area is comfortable and welcoming, thanks to the private heated swimming pool (8m x 4m). The lawned garden is a dream for kids and there is an outdoor BBQ area with a gas Weber BBQ, perfect for an evening spent eating al fresco under the stars.

The town of Limoux dates back to the 14th century. It is located in the countryside on the banks of the Aude river, 24 miles to the South of Carcassonne. Limoux is the hub of production of 'Blanquette', a sparkling wine made using the 'méthode champenoise'. A delightful substitute for Champagne at a fraction of the cost.
The beautiful beaches of the Mediterranean are about one hour away. Carcassonne, with its famous castle and Canal de Midi where boats can be rented, is less than half an hour away. The stunning Pyrenees are an hour away and offer an abundance of activities such as skiing and white water rafting.
Closer to home, the beautiful towns of Mirepoix and Limoux are perfect examples of traditional french towns full of history, amazing architecture, weekly markets and fantastic bars and restaurants. This area has everything.
Carcassonne is within easy reach and absolutely not to be missed. The fortified city is host to a huge range of cafés, bars, restaurants and summer concerts and festivals including medieval jousting and spectacular 'sound and light' shows with fireworks.
25 minutes drive from Carcassonne with its unmissable citadel and summer cultural events for all ages.

We had a fantastic 2 week holiday in Cambieure. Booking and communication with the owner were excellent. The villa is very easy to live in and there was plenty of space for 5 adults. We appreciated the range of outdoor seating areas for different times of the day and the pool is exceptionally clean and well maintained. Temperatures were in the 40s so the efficient aircon was invaluable. There are lots of places to visit within half an hour and so many wine domaines to try. We rarely visit the same place twice but this is a villa, and area, to which we would return.
