Villa Tadorne is a very well-appointed villa located in a quiet residential neighbourhood of Mèze. Shops, restaurants and the beach are less than 10 minutes walk away.
Mèze is famous for its oyster and mussel beds on the Etang de Thau and visiting this village means you could not enjoy fresher seafood!
Mèze Village and Port are delightful, easily rivalling better-known Marseillan just along the coast. There are a myriad of restaurants and bars to choose from, many of which specialise in super-fresh seafood harvested just a few hundred metres away in the lagoon. Mèze is generally seen to offer a great family environment.
Tadorne would be perfect for a small family or two couples, or maybe even just one couple who enjoy plenty of space to themselves.
The spacious ground floor offers an open-plan salon/dining/kitchen area. The kitchen is very well-equipped and there is an additional fridge/freezer and washing machine in the garage.
Outside, you will enjoy dining on the terrace overlooking the pool. The barbecue is of brick construction so you can grill to your heart's content. There is almost no overlooking from adjoining properties so you will be quite secluded even though you are so close to the services in the village.
Across the lagoon is the town of Sète. Sète is a big ferry port and is known as The Venice of the Languedoc for its various canals. In the summer, you might get to see the famous 'water jousting' tournaments that take place on the main canal. Two teams fight it out with lance and 'steed' (the boat) and somebody always falls in. Great entertainment! Access to Sète is via water taxi.
Please note that 2 friendly cats come with the villa so it's best that any guests are cat-lovers.
