I really loved this house. It's cosy and well-decorated, with the highlight being the beautiful veranda overlooking the private pool. It's really well laid-out for groups looking for a little bit of privacy from one another, thanks to some of the bedrooms and bathrooms being on different floors. The main bathroom is a great size, especially the shower. Overall, I think it's a fab place for families.
About La Maison du Coin
Maison du Coin is a tastefully refurbished winegrower's house with the living area upstairs and downstairs having two adjoining bedrooms plus a bathroom suite and garage. The courtyard garden, with its beautiful limestone tiles, has a pool and features a lovely shady tree. Al fresco dining and a barbecue (plancha grill) can be enjoyed in the shade of the upstairs or downstairs terraces.
The house is located on a quiet corner near the centre of the village with little passing traffic. Entry is up a staircase to the entrance hall which still has its original pretty mosaic steps and floor. The lounge area is decorated in cool, relaxing colour tones and features tastefully chosen sofas, easy chairs and a Smart TV. The open kitchen is fully-equipped and both the kitchen and lounge open onto the dining room. From there, look down on the pool or relax on the upstairs terrace. The sliding windows all open to let in the fresh breeze so the house is nicely aerated.
Take the staircase down to the pool area and relax on the loungers. Enjoy a barbecue in the shade of the terrace.
Pomérols is a wonderful historic Languedocian village. Its great advantage - apart from being surrounded by vineyards producing excellent wines, particularly Picpoul de Pinet which goes so well with locally produced seafood - is that it is just 10km from the beaches. A day at the beach, or a visit to Marseillan village with its pretty little port, Sète, or Mèze can be easily achieved.
